N.C. Cancer Hospital Employee Open House Held

Over 2,000 UNC Health Care employees attended the N.C. Cancer Hospital Employee Open House held on July 31, 2009. Those in attendance took a self guided tour of the new facility with stops including the in-patient beds, Infusion Suite, Pediatric Clinic, Radiation Oncology, Patient and Family Resource Center, and Conference Center. Complimentary ice cream was provided to all attendees. Attendees also had the opportunity to pay tribute to a loved one by writing his/her name on a ribbon and placing it on the ribbon wall. Over fifty volunteers from UNC Hospitals assisted with the open house.
