Look Good ... Feel Better Program

Massage Therapy

At UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, the keystone of patient support is The Patient and Family Resource Center. Here, a team of counselors, a chaplain, and trained staff work with patients and families throughout their cancer experience. A boutique of wigs, hats, and other comfort items are available at no charge to promote patients' well-being as well as a massage therapist, whose free services are available to patients and family members. Complementing staff services is an extensive lending library and free educational and support materials to help families understand their cancer diagnosis and treatment. Resource Center staff meet individually to tailor information needs of patients and families.
