Oncology Protocol Review Committee

Welcome to the PRC

Oncology Protocol Review Committee The Protocol Review Committee (PRC) is a multidisciplinary standing Committee of the UNC/Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center (UNC/LCCC) and the UNC Clinical Cancer Program; a joint entity of the UNC/LCCC, UNC Hospitals and the UNC School of Medicine. Its charge is the peer review of local and national research protocols involving cancer patients PRIOR to submission of the protocol to the UNC Institutional Review Board (IRB).

NEW PROTOCOL TEMPLATES FOR UNC INVESTIGATOR INITIATED STUDIES NOW AVAILABLE!!

In the interest of providing better guidance in formulating protocols for UNC Investigator Initiated studies, we are providing a new set of Protocol Templates to assist in the protocol writing process.  These templates are primarily designed for studies focused on cancer treatment regimens, with chemotherapy as the main component of the regimen. They contain boilerplate language for sections that often require little to no editing, with specific instructions/guidance for the portions of the protocol which require further explanation.  These templates may be modified to address questions about radiotherapy or surgical oncology, though separate templates for these areas are also under development.
